Default 77 camaro TH350 tranny questions

Hello, I got just a stock Th350 in my 77 Camaro right now and eventually would like to either have it built, or switch to a 700r4 or something with another gear. As of right now it just has the stock 305 in it but I'm building a 383 stroker for it that's going in soon. I also have 4.56 gears in the rear, and might switch to 4.10's or even 3.73. As of right now, I really love low end power and roasting the tires...haha... and could care less how fast I go but when it comes to driving on the freeway, I'm around 3800 rpm's which I try to avoid, but I love the low end torque and don't really wanna switch axles (which again I might when i have the 383 in). I was just wondering what some of you were running and whether you liked it or not, or if you have any suggestions especially when it comes to trans work and what is the best way to go.

Thanks!

Running a stroker, 4.10's, 26" tires, and a TH350. That's the limit for me, as I don't take it on the highway too often. Any sort of a mini road trip would be impractical and costly on gas. With my gears, I'd be perfectly happy with an overdrive. The o.d. gear in the 700R4 is .70, which would lower your current highway rpm's to 2,660, which is a bit more presentable. You can also go with taller tires to lower rpm's some, if that's possible fitment wise.

okay, yeah that's what I was thinking. Right now I actually do have 26" tires on and I obviously wont know what I like or how I want it set up without actually having the other engine in, but hearing what you guys run is always interesting and something I like to keep in mind. As for as going to bigger tires, id have to take some measurements and look at some things, but I can easily get the 4.10 gears or even the 3.73's. I do plan on however, getting some wider wheels and tires for my setup and could look into larger tires to help out some.

The 700s super low first 3.06 and 4. 56 will blow the tires off, even 4.10s are little high but okay, I ran that combo, when I could hook with the Hoosier quick time pros it was gut wrenching!

Okay I most definitely will! After thinking, I'm sticking with the th350 since, in reality, gas mileage and long trips are not a concern
