Rebuilt TH350 questions
I rebuilt the tranny and I'm having a little problem. It shifts great from 1-2 and then from 2-3. At 45-50 and you kick it, it drops down an you're at 70 real fast! Now what I'm getting is when I put it in reverse, it works fine there too. But I put it in drive, it drops in but it takes alot more RPMs to get it moving. Before, you could put it gear, take your foot off the brake, and it would move on it's own up to 3-5 mph. It won't do that now. Other than all the new parts in the tranny, I changed the converter to a B&M 2800 stall. Tranny has 4 ball bearings in the spots where they are supposed to be. Is there an adjustment somewhere I missed?

RE: Rebuilt TH350 questions
I will start moving around 1000-1100 rpms. It does not do that in reverse. The converter is new and bolted up just fine. It's more noticeable when it's cold. Could this just be a low fluid level? Every time I've checked it though, it's right at the full mark...I don't think I've ever got it over 160 degrees though. It had an original stock converter in it befor the rebuild.

RE: Rebuilt TH350 questions
Stall speed it sounds like. Maybe a little much for the engine itself. 2800 stall is stout for a street only car. Thinking my Camaro has a 2500 stall and that feels a little loose warmed up when I gradually take off compared to others.
The temp staying low and the gears staying solid makes it seem like everything is working fine inside, except a higher stall now.
