Default 2" Drop Spindle on 2nd Gen

I have a 1973 Camaro, with stock 350 engine/auto trans. I have 240/40/18 tires in the front on 18x7 inch wheels. I want to install 2"inch drop spindles to lower the front, which is currently 1 inch higher than the rear of the car. My question is will the front tires rub with the 2" drop spindles? I thought about installing 1" lower coil springs in the front, but I just installed new stock coil springs on it less than a month ago.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

You'll have to pull more apart to do spindles than to do coils. Plus coils will be way cheaper than spindles. So I wouldn't worry about whether they're new or not. You might even be able to sell the new stock coils for less than you paid and recoup some of the funds, but selling old spindles will be a tougher sell.
And depending on your offset, the new 18" wheels and tires may very well rub with 2" lower stance.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Worst case scenario I would have to change out the rear leaf springs (which I'm sure wouldn't hurt considering the age of the car) to match the front stance of the car.

I also installed new stock shocks last month when I changed out the coil springs, upper and lower ball joints and A-frame bushings.

Question: Will I have to change out the new stock shocks to a lowering shock to match the 1" inch lowering coil springs?

No, I used stock shocks front and rear with lowering springs. 1" isn't any lower than old saggy coils, so no problem with shocks.
