2" Drop Spindle on 2nd Gen
I have a 1973 Camaro, with stock 350 engine/auto trans. I have 240/40/18 tires in the front on 18x7 inch wheels. I want to install 2"inch drop spindles to lower the front, which is currently 1 inch higher than the rear of the car. My question is will the front tires rub with the 2" drop spindles? I thought about installing 1" lower coil springs in the front, but I just installed new stock coil springs on it less than a month ago.
Thanks in advance for your assistance. |

Thanks in advance for your assistance. And depending on your offset, the new 18" wheels and tires may very well rub with 2" lower stance. |
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Worst case scenario I would have to change out the rear leaf springs (which I'm sure wouldn't hurt considering the age of the car) to match the front stance of the car.
I also installed new stock shocks last month when I changed out the coil springs, upper and lower ball joints and A-frame bushings. Question: Will I have to change out the new stock shocks to a lowering shock to match the 1" inch lowering coil springs? |
