That is cool that you were able to go back after all those years and get more parts from the same donor. I realized that 5/6 speed 2nd gen Camaros weren't made and it would take more than swapping to a 4 speed. That's the reason why I was curious about the swap. I remembered your earlier posts about the parts from the junkyard after you mentioned it again.

Here's a link to the "everything you ever needed to know about a T56 swap" at NastyZ28. It's a great thread that covers all the options, and what to do.

Good link there! I'm hoping when/if that time ever comes that I can just focus on the install and not the build with a T56. How's the fab'd rods coming along Damon?

I got my heim joints today. But they didnt come with jamb nuts. SOB'in *****'s! I bought them off ebay for the super low price of $13 for four of them. Wonder why they didnt come with nuts? LOL Anyhow here are the rods. I will cut them down to the proper length once I get my ***** LH tap. I have to measure for shoulder bolt length as well. I brought a super long one home so I can get it all worked out before ordering.

Here we go.

Well I have the jamb nuts in hand. i got them from China for a whopping $4 shipped. Whats wrong with those people? I cant see how they live. The shipping was free, So four four bucks someone got a bubble wrapped lined envelope and mailed it half way around they world. I cant see how money was made.

Anyhow, I also picked up a new 19x31" aluminum rad w/ a sheet metal shroud to hold the electric fan. I even got a chrome (plastic) electric fan to go on it. Total price was just about $230. I hate putting Americans out of work but I had to save as much as I could this year. I also picked up a billet battery hold down for an Optima battery for a whole 60 dollars.

In other news I have made it! I no longer stuck on second shift. The stars aligned and I got moved to first and promoted at the same time. The only downer is I'll be salary Monday. But for the raise I got I cant complain. It worked out to about a 30% increase in base pay. No chit! Three OHHHH! F me, I couldnt turn it down.:ic on_beerchug: Thats a round of beers for my buddies on CF and I'd be the one fall down drunk. Later guys.

As '69 put it over on my page - HERE HERE! Congrats man! How about a round of steering gear boxes for you CF buddies?

As far as China goes, exchange rates... Consdering everything that was made (including the bubble wrapped envelope) were made there, I bet $3.50 of that $4 was profit.

Congratulations on the promotion, and a regular shift too! I buy my heim joints and weld bungs from QS components in Indiana. Free shipping on orders, and their prices are always fair. Just got 4 10-32 female heims for carb linkage for $9 at my door. Also got weld bungs and 5/8" heims for my ladder bars I'm building at $6.25 ea. to my door. Not sure where they're made, but they are always good quality, and priority mail, so quick delivery.

The only downside to first is i wont have any "free" time to build my rods. I have most everything now except the lathe to finish cut them to length. I will stay late this week and finish them for some show and tell.

Here's something funny Val. I ordered jamb nuts for the heims. The ones I talked about in the previous post. I thought they were from China but turns out that was my 5/16-24LH tap. The nuts were in an envelope with a QS Racing Components sticker. So I got them from your source. I've been to Muncie Indian. Not what I would call pretty. LOL Thats about where my car came from.
