Looking good, I also really like the idea of those wire separators, it does the job well. It will be cool to see the before and after on that alternator. Fire that baby up.

your getting there, engine/bay looks nice and clean good job. good idea with the seperators, i just might do that but i'll use another colour, maybe black ones though, so you can't see when they get dirty.

I do the same thing on separators, but put the catches below so they're hidden.

Thanks guys. I thrashed hard tonight. I will try to fire it up before work tomorrow. Its 5am now though. Just munchin on some chips and getting relaxed a bit before a shower and bed. IDK if I'll be getting up in time to run out and get a lower rad hose and a couple gallons of premium. I don't run it in anything lol. I need to connect the msd wires to a battery and maybe hook up a tach. I also needed a different t-stat housing because the stainless upper rad hose didn't get along with the one I had on there. Good news is I ran out to my dads and took the stock one off my 78 and then stopped by work and blasted it. Then painted it at home. I got a buddy coming over tomorrow for the exorcism. He is a real gear head too with many fast rides under his belt, I built my motor in his garage before I had a place to put mine. I also left my 78 in his yard for two years LOL. He is as ready as me.

As for the wire ties. Heres a tip. My little brother came back from Afghanistan and taught me something, go figure. He said take a lighter and toast the end of the tie were you cut the excess off. It makes it less sharp. I have been doing it ever since. I use zip ties daily at work.

If it fires there will be video tomorrow. In the event of catastrophic failure. Check the obituaries.

Well no news. I woke up late, go figure. Anyhow all I had time for was to hit Autozone to get a radiator hose. They didn't have one, I was shocked. I asked for on for a pick up the same year. The guy had the nerve to say that the radiator is totally different and wouldn't work. So I went across the street to Advance Auto. I came home on my lunch and tried it out. Nope, the stock dia. won't fit over my Griffin radiator. The spout is the same as the one coming off the water pump.

Anyone have any ideas?

Probably 1 3/4" How about a universal Dayco or Goodyear flex hose. That's what I used in mine. I'm sure it came from Advanced for like 12 bucks. My stock hose was collapsing so I went with a flex hose because it had the coil spring built in.

There so ugly though. Well screw it. I plan on buying one to match the top but just needed something to get it running. Maybe I'll have to just do it.

Sorry, I didn't know your lower hose got that much attention. LOL. You could order braided from Summit if you're craving some bling.
