Thats where I learned how to rebuild them. The guy behind the counter just went and grabbed the parts and showed me right there because I was too broke to get a new alt.

My local Autozone guys would have trouble figuring out how to get the hood open! We've got 4 in close proximity to my house, and none of them has a real car guy working there.

yeah same here couldnt even get them to order me the right intake gasket

Finished the clean up of all the small stuff. Assembling the pwr pump was a pain.

Cleaned up the shop and got rid of all the sand blast dirt around.
I pulled all the bearings, Main and rod for sizes. I just ordered re-ring kit with bearings, gasket set and rings. For good measure I ordered an oil pump and assy lube. I also was suspect of my harm. dampner. I ordered one of those also. Summit usually takes two days to arrive here.

Looks fun. I'm into a full on snow blower rebuild right now. Anyone care to offer tips? I can give details, just don't want to cluter rydeer's thread with them.

Good lookin bottom end! Looks very clean!

yeah that engine looks really good,a re ring and u should be good to go.are u gonna use the one piece oil pan gasket on it.
