And 400hp either engine or wheel is huge for a celica. It weighs more than 2000 lbs unless it has been completely rebuilt and stripped for racing.

What engine size is the ZR1 than. How can it be possible to have more HP than a 572?

The ZR1's 6.2 supercharged engine is rated 638 hp. The supercharger, and LS design engine is making more HP than a lot of older design SBC and BBC engines.

And perhaps it is fuel injection, maybe more fuel efficient than carb BBC...

Yes, it is fuel injection, but not sure that contributes all that much to the HP it makes.

Having a manual transmission helps alot. My 4L80 is a huge power soak, i knew this when i got it. I see a fast fuel system, head work, Rods, Cam, and pistons in the future. I really dont want to run nitrous even though i have it. I would love to throw boost at this car but like i have said before i am saving that for an LSX chevelle someday in the future.

Well it is winter here. The cars parked and I haven't been doing anything to it. The temperature warmed up to 11 the other day, at the end of the day I realized that i should have taken it out for a rip. But I'm too smart for that, I waited until it was only 1 degree the next day. Even though my hands and feet were frozen it was still nice to put on a couple of Kms. Car started up right away after sitting for a couple of months, so I was happy with that.

The drive went well but I got out on the highway, lightly peddled first - smoky tire mess, lightly peddled second - smoky tire mess, shifted into third and rolled into it, went damn near sideways at like 100km/h and decided to put it away until spring.

Sure did feel nice though!

Sounds like fun! Overpowering the tires at 100km/h! Have a great holiday!
