They might work. I know that truck mounts don't. The truck mounts are just slightly too wide. I think car mounts are mostly all the same.

I got rid of the parts car so I can't offer up any to you. My dad was getting letters so it had to go.

The truck ones looked like the right ones too. I had the engine sitting on the lower mounts but it would only go in one side at a time. I chipped the new paint on my 78 with a pry bar. Two equal length marks right on top of the fender to remind me.

once i tried to put that engine in my 80 camaro with those 87 motor mounts i was having the same problem, could only get one side to line up,but the other was only off a hair but didnt seem to fit very well so i stoped trying to mount the engine.im just gonna get the right ones and be done with it i think.then i know they will fit properly.man u had to use a pry bar,did u ever get them to work after all that, thats sucks about the scratches.

Oh no it was part of the fiasco that was my 78. This was the first or second engine I bought for it. It was a reman from my buddies pick up. The truck mounts were on it still on it. I had the original mounts on another motor, I was still about 18 at this time and a pry bar was what sounded good at the time. The car was blue with buff colored primer. I could see it everytime I looked at the car.

To top it all off the motor blew up within 30 seconds of starting. I left the car at my exGF's when we split and her new dude dropped a hand full of bolts down the carb. I hadn't even rolled it over at that point. Then POW it was done. I walked into the her house with a hammer while they were sleeping but only smashed it through the wall over his head. He literally peed the bed. My bed, my freakin pillow. LOL I think I was as cool as I could be under the circumstances.
