That sucks.

There isn't much difference in the two LS motors. The LQ4 has lower compression, which is what he wants for the turbo set up.

Mine wasn't rusted in the least but I pulled the glass because its the seal that fails. The normal corner rust isnt there huh? That is odd. Again I blame the seal, it shrank within a couple years of leaving the factory. I beleive mine stayed good only because someone smashed the car in the early 80's and it sat inside for over 20yrs. I could still see where the seal was shrunk though.

Wow....
10 years is a long time. kind of makes the huge task you have undertaken that much more noble. Getting a great car back on the road with more under the hood than 80% of the other cars out there.

thx oldman9 i appreciated that,im trying my best but its a big task this car has been neglected a long time, and has lots of faults from previous owners, seems all they wanted to do with car is drag race it,has had the blower and heater deleted, just covered with an old rusty sheet of metal, the wiring is a complete disaster about the only thing usuable is the engine wires all the light wires the connectors are all broken, luckily i had a engine harness in mint condition i got from atm.is there any diffrence in engine wiring harness from manual to automatic.
