See your winning. The Jeep motor has the crank in it, thats it. The mains are all one piece called a bed plate. 26 bolts hold it on. Some have in/lb and some have ft/lb. It was a pain trying to find a in/lb torque wrench, then I promptly broke it on my last bolt.

Then installing a piston yesterday i bent one of the oil rings, I don't have much experiance with band style ring compressors. Every motor I have ever built to date has been 4.030" My buddy has a tapered ring that size and thats all we've used. Plus the rings came with no instructions. Two completely different rings. Then the rod bolts I find are one time use. I can't find new ones. So it's either dealership or gamble on the TTY bolts will live twice.

OMG brother that thing is giving u a tuff time, never worked on a jeep motor before, can only imagine what ur going thru, yeah them band ring compressors are junk in my opinion,i used them to rebuild my first motor after secon piston was installed i broke the ring on the third piston, and i went and got a tapered one never again.
wow dont know what to say on the rod bolts the factory ones im sure aint cheap, maybe i would gamble on reusing them if it was me.
ur still winning bro ur car is completely in primer mine aint even half primered yet.
