yeah damon we are defenately on the same page,i just need to last until end of summer, drive it easy no high rpm launces and it should survive, then sell it for what i payed for it or more.june will be the earliest i can even probably get my car going so it would only need to survive maybe 3 months,if im easy on it should be no problem, then in goes my TKO 600 it has 3.27 first gear that would be awesome at the track and a .64 5th gear that should drop me down to about 2,000 rpms at 65.with my 3.73 rear end.

As long as I don't damage mine it will always be a money maker. Back in about 95 or so a friend of my dads called and said his cousin had a tranny. I had just popped my 3rd Saginaw that summer and went to take a look. Sure enough there it was a ST 10 from a 79 T/A. I had an older buddy who praised them to death.
The guy had a 77 formula and an 80 pace car. plus more pontiac stuff than I could imagine. I didn't even need to counter offer. He said 75 bucks and he would need the linkage back. I pulled out my cash and ran out of there. Straight to my buddies house who was more than impressed with my score. I beat the tranny until the car died and then pulled it. That was 15yrs ago or so. The hurst shifter and center force clutch have less than 500 miles on them. They made it through countless girlfriends and houses. Then I found out when I got into the internet forums that my 11" bellhouseing that came in my 76 nova is very desirable too.

i always thought the 79 -81 camaros got the 85mph speedo, the u14 gauges, mine has a 130 mph speedo,i was surprised is that original,it also has a oil pressure gauge in place of the clock to my knowledge none of camaros got an oil pressure gauge had the dummy light ,has the oil pressure gauge in place of the clock, could you order them that way or did someone add that.

well just spent the day bolting my front clip all back together,it only had maybe 5 bolts holding it together, but just tightened them loosely, because i still need to put my new bumper cover on it thats a good project for tomarrow its supposed to warm up a little we just got about 8 inches of snow and its freezing out there.this bumper cover i will just need to scuff and prime it,should go on easy i hope, the heater has been completely deleted from this car or it never had one seeing its from texas not sure.luckily i saved all the front clip bolts from my 80 because it was missing all but the 5 bolts.also has battery located in the trunk, with emergency shut off mounted on back of car, must have been used for drag racing.

If yous has a oil pressure gauge and it appears stock. Its from gaugemarks. He mods the clocks. Your right it was never offered.

after investigating my front bumper cover its just gonna be easier to work with the one thats on it,there a pain to change by ur self and there a little heavy.the one on it has no chips or tears just the paint on its cracking looks like they used either laquer paint or acrylic enamel, lots of spider web cracks i will sand out and apply 2 k primer over it.after using filler, then i will begin to block sand it.
