Lowes is where I've been finding stuff lately. They even have trim screws and body bolts.

Thanks for the compliments, my father in law was over tonight, I may have the color picked out. It is a Ford color: Sterling Grey Metallic. With Satin black stripes.

As for my daily progress, today I wanted to clean up some bolts, and I figured it was time to see how I could make a bolt tumbler. I came up with this, it is crude and not pretty, but it works.

Wired in a dimmer switch to slow it down, definately not to code.

After about an hour this is what you get. I am going to let it run for about 4 hours tomorrow and get them better.

I would like to try and make a better one, using gear reduction or something. Really, an old mortar mixer would be perfect. Or.... The wifes Kitchen Aid mixer, lol.

My uncle used to have a tumbler for polishing rocks. He got it at a hobby store. Something like that might be what you need.

lol, thanks, I went ahead and let it run all night. It didn't get them as clean as I had hoped, but pretty good. I am going to do the rest today.

Worked a bit in the garage, just tossed the stuff on for now. Really need to get the doors on to try and adjust anything first. Got this stuff up off the floor and started to get an idea of what I had to look at.

Decided to put the fuel tank in. That is definitely a project meant for 2, thank God for Air Ratchets! Alot of cursing and grunting and it is in. I used some of my old bedliner for insulation between the top of the tank and the body.

Not sure what else I'll get done today. Probably put the front bumper on the car, I may get the rear bumper down out of the attic and clean it up and paint it and put it on too. If I really get crazy, I'll put the nose on too.

ATM, you should look into a brass tumbler as used by ammo reloaders. They're dirt cheap and do an excellent job with the right media. Way cheaper to run electrically too!
Check your local sporting goods dealer for something like a Lyman 1200 Pro.

If you have to install or drop the tank again, try laying a 1x6 board, that fits between the tank straps, on a floor jack and raise or lower the tank that way. One of many things I had to do myself because I'm to impatient to wait for help. lol
