Yes, only thing I'd change from your plan is I'd use seam sealer to stick the metal patches in place first. Then once it dries come back and do as you described.

also if you ever wanted to go to a auto and ditch the 4 speed let me know, lol! I'd love to have the 4 speed muscle car look.

I gotta say, with all honesty. That is the first time I ever hear anyone want to swap to an auto. I understand though. My woman may or may not wanna drive mine. She heard the thunder when i fired it up the first time and it swayed her away... kind of.

Depending how my funds are at tax time my stock set up may go. Hell for the right money I'll put it on a pallet tomorrow.

Yeah I still have the original TH350 that came in the car too. I'm with you for the right money I would do the same. I just don't think I'll ever go back original. I just find it hard to let go of these original parts for some reason. Maybe I should do a thread on how to disassemble and rebuild it for fun.

Well I just finished up building my table that I'm going to use to build my tranny on, so mine will be done in the next couple of days. I'll do my best to get pics as I go along and I may do a write up for it as well.
