Sounds like me at work today.... But I bet you had a bit more room to work ...I was working on a POS Fox body 89 Mustang... Some five thumbed moron figured he could rewire his car to be a race car.... No blinkers... no brake lights... no wipers.... no low beams.... and no Charging system... still have to fix the charging system and the blinkers... I HATE FOX BODIES...

The Headers are the part that really gave me a laugh... the Steering shaft goes between the header tubes... and is rubbing on one of them... this guy ran the clutch cable THRU the headers melting it to the collector... he swaps between the stock Tach and a 10 grand monster by unplugging one at the MSD coil and plugging in the other... he used what I think is Home Depot house wire to run the wires to the tach and the junkyard fan that is hardwired into wire harness under the dash... the whole car is a real mess...

Well I don't want to Hijack your thread.. But I could go on...

I did a spot on four speed swap in one day. I didn't have a tranny to start with so that helped. It's so easy its not funny. Specially if you don't want a console. Tamaraz has a kit for less than 200 so all you need is the tranny, bellhousing and clutch. The only part not made is the back drive linkage that turns on the reverse lights but I even have that. I also have a template on where to drill the hole in the firewall if your car doesn't have the block off plate.

Thanks, but I think the trans will haft to wait a little wile. I check craigslist all the time, so if I spot the trans; I'll pick it up. Right now, I want to get the engine running well and the body will be a work in progress.

nice work looks really good to me,keep up the good work.cant wait to see it finished, the 4speed is a good choice love the sticks, and much funner to drive.just find urself a good muncie m-21,or borg warner super t-10 and have fun,but try to stay away from the saginaw they break easily.
