Default 76 Fuzz buster

Heres the start of my build... finally.
1976 base camaro. Bought her off of a friend and towed her home.
After I got a pound of so of dust out of the engine bay, I found out that it had a 350sbc. Holley 600cfm carb. Edelbrock performer intake. Roller lifters and rocker arms. The body was in good shape for a car that was 35 years old. The radio was hot-wired to the battery and it had, for lack of a better term; a ''security system''. Removed both of them and found that the system was wired into the main harness. I still need to get the turn signals and wipers to work....
I weilded some sheet metal in and smoothed everthing out with some body filler. Now I'm half done wet sanding. On with the pics!!!

Not a bad looking car. Two things though. Those aren't Vortec heads. And what the heck is that coil spring on the shock?

See the bolt patter on this intake? I don't see it on yours.

Umm...ok? The springs where a temporary fix until I get my air shocks and newer-ish leaf springs installed.
I did not build the engine, so I'm only going off what I was told by the last owner. Thanks for the info tho, I'll fix my first post.

^^agreed^^ TBI heads all day. See the 8 bolts holes on the intake I posted? Now go count yours. Four in front, four in the middle, four at the the end. Your going to come up with 12. I can post a pic of the two side by side if you like. I have both styles in the garage.

PS I wasn't trying to rip on you. Its just I see ALOT of people think they have them. Here at home and on the net. Its sad how many guys sell a car with "Vortec" heads just because it has center bolt valve covers.

I have the TBI heads on my 91
I have a set of Vortecs on the shop floor waiting for my 86
I have a good old tried and true Performer RPM.
I have a vortec specific intake on the shelf.

If you want me to lay them all out I will. I'm trying to inform not tear you down for not knowing. We cool?
