Thanks for the removal instructions for the window trims. I'm sure there's probably some kind of removal tool out there but man they are ON there good! I only made one half-assed attempt at trying to pull a piece off of the back window once and decided to leave them alone at that point. Glad you got some more work done and hope you're able to get the rest of that crud out of the window channel. Scraping that undercoating is a PITA for sure. Definitely a unique smell when flame gets put to it. When I was trying to remove the nuts on the brake booster I used the torch and caught the UC on fire on the firewall and it stinks like hell. I wonder if a lacquer thinner/aircraft remover would work to break it down enough to scrape the bulk of it off? Maybe that's not a good idea, don't know. Anything's better than sitting there scraping.

I've been scraping here and there with a razor blade. I haven't made it far...to say the least. I might try some sort of rotary tool to get it.

For the rest of the vehicle, I got a lot of the dash out. The steering wheel still remains but, most everything else but wiring is out. The heater core is going to need some repairs though. It looks like someone broke the outer plastic shell in a couple areas. The peices are there though so I should be able to fix it. Everything else is in tact though. The lines need replaced also. They were so brittle that they broke on being handled.

I saw a tool in the summit catalog for stripping under coating. For the low low price of two bills. Looks like it may work though.

How can you go wrong with a tool called "Spitznagel?" Looks badass.

If you have an angle head grinder they make some really agressive wire wheels for them that will rip through most anything fast.
2 pcs 4-1/2" KNOTTED WIRE WHEEL FITS ANGLE GRINDERS | eBay

4 DEWALT DW4935 4" KNOTTED TWISTED WIRE WHEELS FITS 4" MAKITA ANGLE GRINDER M10 | eBay

I've used the DeWalts and they are pretty quick, but they'll also scratch up the metal, which is good to prep for paint on floors, but not on the body.

I have a couple of those myself that I use along with the standard rough/fine wheels. All for the low low cost of $6 a pop! The knotted wheels will take that stuff off in a hurry.

As long as there knotted. I have so many bad memories of wires hanging out of my hands and body. Luckily I were safety glasses when I use them and havent skewered my eyeball yet.

My dad has an angle grinder I would be able to use. Didn't even think of getting heads for that to get that stuff off. That would work great!
