Joe just to be real My 78 was Blue with Black. The dash and console was blue though. Looked pretty good to me. The car came blue with blue dash, console, and carpet. Every thing else was white. It would look nice if new, but after 20+ years the white was more green if you know what I mean.

Cool, yeah i know what you mean my 80 Z had white/grey interior, now its black/grey and a white headliner, but i would love to get a black dash and column for it instead of painting black, oh well i gotta do what i gatta lol.

I'd second the idea of going different. As nice as blue looks, I hate going with a color that I constantly see everywhere, even if it's on other cars of a different make.

Painting the colume would be ok, but dying the dash I'm not thinkin would look good for long. I was looking at some of the higher end spray dyes through fbodywarehouse. They want 20 friggin dollars for a can of paint and another 20 for primer and another 20 for adheasion promoter. It better not ever come off for that kind of money.

I dyed my dash pad and painted the metal part of my dash. It has lasted over 30 years. Can't even remember what dye I used, but I think it was Marhyde.

I used Duplicolor on my pickup. It stuck well to the metal. But it is flaking off the everywhere else.

Well ill keep the grey dash for now, i want to get another one anyway because it has a ugly crack right in the middle of it. but if i cant find a column with it i'll just end up painting it.
