White looks good when it's new paint, but it's heck to keep clean, and once they get dirty down in places you can't clean you'll be regretting it.

Black is good. Here's another thought I've been thinking about doing. Wrapped. It looks tough IMO and keeps the heat in the pipes and away from everything else. Just a thought. Haven't researched to see if there is any negatives for using them.

I think wrapped looks great if you keep the chrome to a minimum. It's sort of sinister, and tough looking, and chrome seems to contradict the look.

maybe you should do your headers like those flamed out breather things off that ratrod that would be gorgeous but expensive lol but now that i think of it its about time to repaint my headers there starting to look terrible and rusty

I hate rat rods usually, but that one is actually cleaner and more finished looking than most of them!

Yeah +1. I wouldn't really consider that a rat rod. To much effort was taken. LOL
Check out the frame ends. That takes some time and skill. The only ratty thing I see is the overflow tank. It appears to be made from an old sub pump float or possibly an antique toilet tank float.

i don't like rat rods either, i just like how the motor is exposed on them

Maybe i should leave the fenders off of my camaro and customize the rad support lol j/k.
