No acid here, but I did think it was really cool to put a dual glass sunroof in my '71 back in 1975!
Of course last year when I welded it shut it was a real chore, but I'm sure glad I did so before spending a lot of time and money to restore it!

lol i didnt mean to offend. around here everyone put sunroofs on them, some people even tried to make rag-tops with late 2nd gens (i think they are ugly lol). Personally i don't mind the sunroof but i'm gonna try for a stock original look on the 78.

I wasn't offened Joe. It wasn't until maybe 8-10 yrs. later that I began kicking myself for cutting the hole. Seemed like every cruise I went to some one would say something like, "Nice car, too bad someone chopped a hole in the roof."
I really thought it was an irreversible problem, but I was determined to fix it, no matter what I had to do.

Did a tiny bit, sanded and painted these, might go with the chrome ones instead.

well not that much, just gettin it ready for the bodywork and the primer, but i want to do the floor pans before the paint. i ripped the motor again to change the flexplate and figured while it was out i should do some work on the frame, so i wire brushed it and sanded a bit, its not mint but i think it will look way beter than it did, im going to use a flat black (my 78 i'll take the clip completely off and get it powder coated) not going to nuts on this car, just want a nice driver.

i ripped the motor and put some chrome instead of aluminum valve covers and another aluminum edelbrock intake, i'll clean up the other stuff and use them on my other motor when its finished. and i put the flex fan on just to see how it would look, what do you think? lose it?

here are some pics anyway

Major improvement all around! The flex fan is a good idea, and will save a little HP too! Keep and eye on engine temps when you first get her running again. Some flex fans don't move enough air at idle speeds, and if it doesn't you might have to go back to something with more CFM. If your engine isn't built too much it should be just fine.
If you haven't painted the frame, etc flat black yet, you might consider satin black. It will be a little easier to keep clean than gloss or flat black.
