I think it's great that you're trying your own bodywork, and it's also a great way to learn! I'm sure no pro either. I just watch a lot of car shows on TV and ask lots of questions. I found you can buy a ton of body tools for a lot less than what it costs to have the work done by a real pro!
My work wasn't perfect, so when I got ready to have the car painted I asked the owner of the shop what it would cost to go over my work. He said my work looked pretty close, and it wouldn't cost much to finish, so I figured I saved myself a lot of money with what I did. Heck, one guy wanted $1,000 just to weld in the opening from the sunroof, if I got the donor roof. Cost me $150 to do it myself and that included buying a wire feed welder!

Headers do look nice, love the engine. I've got a set of headers coming my way destined for the sandblaster and a repaint here too. Not sure on the color, I may go all out and go with white, I sort of like that.

thanks guys
i was just about to buy the white paint but.... i didnt lol
i might go with the white on the 355 i'm building, it will have a blue block (pretty sure) but i might go with the chevy orange/red for the block? but i seen some blue blocks with white headers and i thought it looked good, but when the time comes ya never know

Not sure if you know this, but every header maker states that wrap will void your header warranty. The wrap holds in moisture and causes the headers to rust under the wrap. If you never drive in the wet, then you wont get it wet, so no big deal.
It looks racey, but I wont use it just because of the rust and moisture issue.

Crazy, i don't really like the wrap look to much anyway. some people make it look real good but i don't think it will look good in my engine bay, but to each his own. And now that i know about the moisture thing i will never even consider wrap lol.

I don't run wipers on mine. Took them off for the paint and bodywork, and just left them in a box in the garage. I do put Rain-X on the windshield, just in case I got caught in the rain, but I don't plan on driving in it. Too squirrely.
