Default Installing sound barrier and how much is too much

I am installing sound barrier to the floor boards in my 77 Camaro. How far do you guys go? What about the openings behind the back seats? And openings where 6x9's and other openings in the back. Why sound proof if I am going to leave exposed areas? Do the open areas serve a purpose? Besides opening for speakers.

Any help is appreciated

What part isn't "user friendly"? There's topic threads listed above for "'70-'81 Interiors", which seem pretty clear? Are they not showing on your computer?

Back to the subject of sound insulation. Most people do at least their entire floor. If the car is far enough apart, sound deadener is also installed inside the doors, and inside the roof also. Depending on how quiet you want it, or where your speakers are mounted; some also install a divider panel behind the backseat to separate the trunk. Of course if your car has a big sound system with speakers in the trunk, then you'll want to leave the divider out. The divider can also be covered with sound deadener, if you want further sound reduction. Some even do multiple layers of sound deadener in certain areas, if they feel they need more noise reduction, or heat shielding. I usually do two layers on the firewall, if my engine is a high HP build, as they develop more heat than a stock or mild build.

I don't find anything being not user friendly either, but I'm accustomed to this place. Perhaps it's a learning new surroundings thing, as different forums do work/look differently.
Click on User CP in the top orange menu bar. Then scroll down to Edit Signature under the Settings & Options section.
Moved your thread to the interior section.

Really like this color scheme. What was your rear tire width before and after?

Just how much do you want to use .and just how much weight are you concerned about. I have a 1979 Z-28 with a blown small block. I used bed liner inside the entire floor to seal it .Then a layer of "Dynamat " including a layer of cardboard with dynamat as well ..Mine a "T" top car . so the sound is different inside .Mine had the heavy duty system when I bought the car.
