lol sorry. i found probably a cause of my odd starting problems and lower gas millage.. the past few days seems like it was hard to start. like it took a extra second on the starter. found out why was my #4 spark plug is a real right fit with the headers and all and my plug wire burned up onto it and got to a little exposed bur that was grounding it out to the header. i re loomed it up away from metal and checked for any spark jump. im going to try and replace the wire with a spare i got around here but for now its just like it use to be. i was just getin a weak spark on that plug much better hopefully it wont move and ill get all the response and millage back

Since you have a small block with headers, you might want to get those heat boots to cover the ends of the wires. They're cheap insurance for future burnt spots!

dam i think i solved something today!
my holleys been kinda.. so say running good but kinda dumb. had a odd tick and felt and showed it self to be a little rich i felt. plugs didnt say so but at an idle it kinda was a bit odd. but today i looked into my holley off the car and saw how open my primaries had to be just to keep the car at an idle and i saw my transfer slots were really open. more than .020 that was for sure.
well my adjustment screw for the secondaries was bottomed out to the stop point so they were sitting fully closed. and being there was no slight air flow they vacuumed shut. the diaphragm couldnt open it because i hardly could with my hand while it was running. so today i adjusted it 1/2 turn out and it opened it up almost too hard to see but it now let air flow while it was closed. i brought the primaries back to just about how the secondaries were. they look closed now. and theres a tiny bit of transfer slot showing. started idled nice and was pretty snappy and felt like it was more on the gun. i did a pretty hard running down my road and to my amazement my paper clip moved!
now it kinda felt like it had a bit of a bog but it sure did pull. i dont have the check ball in right now so that could be why but now i know my carb is operating on all 4 chambers so now i can play with the tuning of the canister. but spiting the load on all 4 sure did help the low idle and its operating more like it should

Bump. i thought instead of making a new thread i would post in my somewhat project thread.
so my front end is ok but i noticed my end link bushings on my sway bar where all cracked and collapsed and one was missing. and one of my shock bushings collapsed though and there contacting the center hold bar. on top of that i got old tie rod ends. all of this together is probably a bad combo and causing alot of front end slop. im going to be geting some parts soon so ill let you know how it goes. with fixing the vibrations
