Wiring Question
#22
I didn't even think to look there! i cant believe they are trying to charge 30 bucks though OER 7028146 - OER Cigarette Lighters - Application - SummitRacing.com
So, who knows if a 78 cigarette lighter assembly will fit an 81?
Also, what do they mean by Rochester?

Rochester was the maker. If you're not hung up on an exact repro, then you can get universal sockets that will fit at any parts store cheap. Then check wrecking yards for a lighter that's close to plug into it, or get a repro at the parts store.
You can buy a lighter for a later Camaro cheap, and the universal socket wont show anyway.

I went to orielly's and they didnt have what i needed. I would have had to change the entire assembly including the part that the assembly hoods into behind the dash and i think i have already proved my incompetency enough when it comes to wiring. Plus the only universal one i could find had that light up orange ring going around it...not a fan. Mine used to work and then one day i went to plug in a gps and it wasn't getting a charge. I guess i figure it would just be easier to buy a new one, the only thing that is difficult is opening my wallet.
