I recently bought a 1981 z28 and the wiring harness under the hoood had caught on fire and i was wondering what year of camaro i could use the wiring harness out of? Somebody mentioned that i had too use the same year as mine because it was the first year for the computer. Thanks Kevin

 

I think the computers started in 79 or 80.
Have you checked on a painless?
I did an engine swap in an 85 El Camino to a 91 TBI and they had a harness with all of the factory connecters.
A wrecker may know or also have an interchange manual.
