I have 17x8 w/245's front wheels with 4.75" backspacing and 17x11 w/285's rear wheels with 5.75" backspacing. They fit, do not rub and no tubs. Everyone has their own idea of what looks good. Personally, I think 18's are the limit of what I would think of putting on my car.

I have some lumber going on for the way your car sits. I never thought about using a 285 on mine. I just got my TTIIs in last week. Same sizes as yours. What tire brand are you running and how low is the rear of your car? That is exactly what I planned on for my car. I kind of wish I bought the billet specialties now. They look great. You have any pics from the rear and around the leaf spring?

Oh yeah, what is the Billet Specialties front runner kit?

They are Nitto NT555 tires. The rear has the DSE 3" lowering spring. I don't have a pic of the leaf spring area. Here is a pic from the rear.

That's a spectacular looking car jerhofer! The whole combination of color, tires, wheels, and stance makes for a nice Camaro. I like the painted bumpers to blend into the car much better than the alumnum finish they came with. I also like that your chose a tire with enough sidewall to look good with the wheels and body. I see a few guys going with those super low profile tires that look like a rubberband on a wheel, and they just don't look good.
Great work on your Camaro!

Thanks, one more question. What profile are they? I'm really think I'll have the tire shop order a 315/35R17 and a 285... what ever you have. Then mount one of each and see what I like best.

Thanks. I agree with you on the tire thing. When my buddy and I go to cruise-in's, we see cars that look great except that the tire wheel combination kind of overwhelms it. We both think anything over 18's just doesn't cut it. But then, we are both old geezers so what do we know!!!! That's whey they make so many different tire/wheel combos. In the end, as long as the car owner likes it, that is all that mattters.

JerHofer did you only use a 3" lowering spring in the rear or did you have to change put the leaf spring? if you just used a spring what kind and where did you get it?

DSE = Detroit Speed and Engineering. I would guess its just a spring swap.

It is a Detroit Speed 3" lowering leaf spring that replaced the stock spring.
