Thanks Vall. I'm not sure how I'm gonna mount mine. I did get some aluminum angle the other day. I'll have to play with it a bit.

If I had a spool gun for my Miller I would have used aluminum angle instead of steel. Just not sure I'd weld enough aluminum to justify a spool's cost, plus the tank of gas to run it.

We're supposed to get snow tomorrow afternoon, then freezing rain Wed. morning! I'm moving the Austin to my neighbor's 4 car garage today (next to his 48 Austin) so we can both work on our interiors in the heated garage! Good heat will really be nice!

LOL Its been in the teens here during the day and 0ish at night. i went and borrowed my dads plow truck the Friday night. Wanna talk about cold. The truck has the worst heater ever. I was shivering so bad when I got done I had to jump in the shower to get warm.

Really nice weather today! Cold, but the sun was out and I worked in the driveway until later when it was in the shade and it got colder quickly!
I got my backseat areas done today. The lower flat surfaces I did black carpet, and the trunk diver and package shelf I covered with black naugahyde. Also got all the side panels and door panels cut out.
Tomorrow I'll do a little sanding to clean up the panels, check fit, and then get the glue out and start gluing the naugahyde on all the panels.
Took the Austin out on the freeway for the first time today. I was a little hesitant to say the least, but it ran right up to 65 as smooth as could be. The high gears and nearly 30" tall tires put the engine at around 2200 rpm's at 65. Handled really well, and I had a big smile all the way home from the parts house.
Funny thing happened at the parts house. Some guy and his wife pulled in with a early 60's Chevy truck. He came over as I was leaving and asked me how much I had shortened the car from factory? I'm not sure he really believed me when I told him the body was stock length and width! He said it looked like I'd taken a couple feet out of the body and frame.
