I fired mine up not long ago after a long nap. Took awhile to get gas to the carb with mechanical pump, but she ran just fine on a short trip. Cruise season is starting this weekend, so I need to get new "special use" plates for the Camaro, so it can go to some cruises.

 

Yup everything went fine ...little gas in the carb and it started right up, let it idle for about 5mins then took if for a drive around the block...everything worked fine...now i've gotta put some new oil in it and get insurance on it

 

I tinkered a little then got ready to pull it outside for some sanding tomorrow. I hope at least. damn A.D.D. gets my *** every time.

GOT HER FIRED UP!!!!!! Finally after a year of being down, i got her fired back up again. Gotta go out and finish working on it for the day then i will post up some pics of it.

 

Cool! I just cleaned mine from the long nap. Then went and cleaned the other two rides too! Got to get ready for the cruise tonight and Sun. too!

 

Got mine out in the sun too. Got some sun myself, ouch.

 

Took mine out for a drive to check for any leaks or other problems after changing the water pump and hoses,etc. All went good there,but found out the hard way that the temp sensor i bought to activate the fan either doesn't work or isn't compatible with my wiring harness.Pulled in the driveway and noticed my temp gauge almost into the red,shut the car off and had steam blowing out under the radiator cap,the fan should have came on when it hit 185,guess not.Now i have it wired to run constant while the motor is running until my new sensor gets here.Also found out i will have to upgrade my alternator soon because those taurus fans pull some serious power,i have it wired to only run on low,and my battery gauge is just barely moving up haha.

 

Went to the first cruise of the season last night. Son in law and I were leaving early when the cruise organizer asked us to stay a bit longer. To our surprise the little Austin won a trophy! Not sure what the judges were looking at, as there were lots of really nice cars there, but somehow the little gasser won!?
Not sure I can get her back in the canopy with that big ole swollen head now! She thinks she's a show car now! Boy did I get crap from my buddies! They love to tease "trophy ******"!!!
