Default a weird sound....

Okay, so I noticed when Iput my car into a drive, reverse, park... it's an automatic 1970, motor was rebuilt about 5 months ago... well when i do, it makes a weird noise that sounds like an aluminum can being squeezed.....I think it might have some thing to do with my trans but I'm not sure... any ideas?

thanks

maybe it is a cracked flexplate? Mine sorta sounded like that and thats what I had to fix, ended up replacing the whole tranny. The noise went away with the flexplate, but my tranny had various leaks so I upgraded.

the flexplate is what conects the crank in your motor to the transmision and has the teeth that your starter uses to turn over your motor.there pretty inexpensive to replace put are a pain to put take out and put back in but it can be done in your drive way in a weekend with some help from your budys.
