The carb I got right now is brand new.(It's on the car). I'm just going to switch it over to the new intake manifold when I get it. I'm not getting a new carb and a new intake. Just the intake.

With just the intake I doubt you'll even feel much difference. But it will look better!

OK so fill me in here now,you have a Holley 600 already on the car?
If so you either have an adapter plate on the stock intake or you already have a different than stock intake because a Holley 600 even bore carb will not fit on a stock spread bore intake without a funky adapter plate.
If it has the adapter I'd junk it and go with the new intake, you should feel some difference in power if you have decent exhaust, have you got headers already?
If it is an aftermarket aluminum intake lets see what you have there before you go buying a new one just because it's painted black.
If it's a good intake like an Edlebrock but just got ugly paint on it you can take it in to be cold tanked to strip most of the paint off and then have it bead blasted to clean it up like new.
This will cost you a few bucks but far less that a new intake and it will come out looking like new.

That should work,if it turns out you have a good intake and want to just clean it up while you have it off and in the shop getting done it would be a great time to slip in a mild performance cam and lifters and maybe a fresh timing set.
Since you would not be buying a new intake that would free up some money for a cam/lifter kit.

Just found out it just a GM intake manifold(GM K11, 14057055). So I'm going to get the Edelbrock intake. What would you suggest for the cam, or will the small Voodoo cam work fine?

Do you know of anywhere I can find out what year the motor is? I know it's from a 68-81 Camaro I think, but I want the exact year. Also I forgot to add that the motor was rebuilt about 7,500 miles ago. It's not a wore down engine, so if I went ahead and stuck the cam in there and only stomped it once in a while, would the motor be able to take it or would you build up the bottom end first?

If the motor only has 7,500 miles, it's really brand new for practical purposes. I wouldn't worry about hurting it with any changes up to around 400hp. The stock bottom end will handle that regardless of which 350 it is.
