Default v6 to v8 conversion; bellhousing swap

i currently have the 229 ci v6 with a saginaw 3 speed manual trans in my 1980 camaro and was wondering if i could just use the same bellhousing if i got a saginaw 4 speed. or if its even worth it to get another saginaw or should i just get a t-10 or m21. any input would appreciated. and was wondering if i could just bolt that same bellhousing up to a 350. as far as i know it is interchangable. anything anyone knows that could be of help let me know. thanks
