Default Exhaust question

Is it normal for a car to leak some fumes from the welds on the exhaust pipes? I took it into a shop and had the whole thing done but now when I look under the car I see the little wavy lines indicating fumes right underneath the part that is welded.

I have very little experience and I was wondering if this is normal. I keep smelling exhaust fumes although it is a fainter smell than before. The smell is worse when I step out of the car. I am working on finding and covering any holes in the floor pans. Any ideas or comments?

No, its not normal. I would take it back and have it done right.
