Hello,
the auto tranny on my 79started shifting real late when I took it for a littlejoyride for the first time in a few months.I havent had a chance to check the fluid while it was hot but cold it looks to be in good shape as it still dark red and smells sweet. Could this just be low transmission fluid problem? I will check it hot tomorrow. thanks

 

make sure the vacuum lines are good and still connected tothe modulator valve.if the fluid is good cold chances are its going to be good hot

 

Thanks for the advice...checked the module and the vacuum line wasnt even connected...must have come loose when I messed with the line while swapping the carb and intake...problems gone! thanks
