Hello-
I am having a problem with my clutch.
Specifically, it does not seem to be disengaging at all.
I can start the car up in neutral, but when it is running, I can not put it into any gear.
When it is not running, it is no problem to switch between gears.
Thus I believe the clutch is not functioning.
This just occurred one day, no real signs leading up to it.
It had been sitting for a while.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks

It is a 67 camaro, but i am not sure the transmission is original.
There is some sort of bolt leading into the lever attached to the pressure plate.
It has a nut on it, but just moving the nut would not seem to adjust anything.

I had a Camaro once that I left sit for a few months in a humid enviroment. The metal shavings in the disc rusted to the flywheel. I had to drive it and jerk it by giving it gas and letting off several times. It eventually freed up but would stick everytime it sit. I sold the car before I fixed it so I don't know if it would have worked itself out over time driving it regulary.

Usually this means you have too much free play in you clutch adjustment.
to adjust the clutch,
check out the drawing at the top of page 19 for the below link...
http://www.camarocentral.com/files/4-Clutch.pdf
then
Get some help and crawl under the car.Does the linkage you have looklike the picture? Have someone depress the clutch pedal and observe how the linkage works. There should be a threaded rod going from the crossover bell crank (also called a Z bar) to the clutch release fork. (this is number 14,17,18 in the drawing) loosen the nut and screw the rod in or out to adjust the clutch. making this linkage longer removes pedal free play. It sounds like you have too much free olay and the rod needs to be longer. but be sure to leave some free play in the pedal (usually an inch orsomeasured at the pedal)
Also check your motor mounts and tranny mounts. any shift in the engine/trannys position in relation to the frame can throw of the clutch adjustment.
