Default Tracking Down my Mom's 1978 RS

Hey All,

I'm not sure what the first step is or where to turn (Maybe it's the BMV) but I was hoping someone on this site might be able to help. My dad and I are currently trying to track down if my Mom's 1978 Camaro (I believe it's an RS) is still out there somewhere. It was a gift from my grandfather which was subsequently sold to start my parents business. I'd love to take a shot at finding it but I have no idea where to start and we unfortunately do not have any paperwork containing the VIN. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I wanted to edit my original post I'm not familiar with 2nd gen Camaros very much. I don't even know if there was an RS, however, maybe a few details would help if relevant. I know it for sure wasn't a Z28 nor did it have a 6 cylinder. I was Red with White interior, 4 speed and had a 302 V8. I hope that helps and thanks in advance.

Firm Handshakes,

Good luck and it was probably a 305 V-8,the 302 was a Z28 only engine from 1967-1969.
Do you have any pics with the license plate or anything? Maybe the buyers name?
It's needle in a haystack thing on steroids to find a car with no vin or anything else, how long ago was it sold and where ?

It will probably be easier to find a Camaro like your moms car than find the actual car ,But you just dont know where it could be And if its even around anymore .Good luck on your search though.
