torque converter????????

OUr strip closed because it was unsafe. It had a HUGH woop in the middle of the left lane. Someone died in a crash and they shut it down.

i think you would be miles a head buying a newer vortec or crate engine,then adding your goodies to it.depending on your power range eg.3500 to 6500 or 2500 to 5500 your tourque converter should lock up at 3500 or 2500 so you come out of the hole in the power range.you will need proper rear end gears to match cam.so look at your cam card and see power range.with more hp the same converter will have a higher stall.stock stall is around 1800 full advance should be in when conv stalls,engines make max power when air travels 400 fps so at max rpm you want 400fps so make heads intake exhaust and cam all flow match.trucks have small ports to make big tourque and power down low race engines big ports but until revs are up air flow is slow and engine is dog thats why you need hi stall to get velocity up after 400 fps you lose laminer air flow it becomes turbulant
