Default steering wheel

Bear with me guys it's been a long time since I owned an F-body. I just bought my 16 year old daughter a 1980 Rally Sport. Not typically what a 16 year old girl would want but hey, it's her car. She picked it out after seeing it sitting in some folks driveway. It took me 3 months to coax them into letting go but she's all ours now. It's a 126,000 mile one family owned car that is really a pretty nice old car. BUT... the steering wheel is sticky like so many others. I'm sure it's been asked before but how do I cure the sticky ? I'd rather not put one of the tacky wheel wraps on it as I'm a bit of a purist. Thanks, Dean

Oh and with respect to my current show car and project ... Here's a couple pics of my nut and bolt rotisserrie resto Mustang and the 72 hauler I'm building.

Default RE: steering wheel

Get a good scrub brush and take the wheel off the car. Get Simple Green and spray and scrub hard. It takes a lot of elbow grease and a bunch of Simple Green but it gets the sticky off.
