Default Roller cam and lifers?

Will the roller lifters from a roller block work in a non roller block? I know I'll probably need the retrofit cam but can I use the stock lifters? Thanks for the help

No. Stock rollers use a retainer called a spider. This keeps the lifters in place and you will need a roller block that has the bosses drilled for this spider as well as the retainer plate that keeps the cam from walking.

I know about the spider and the retainers. I was going to drill and tap holes in the oil valley to hold the spider in place. Thats what i did on a 69 Ford 351w and it works fine. But I was not sure about the Chevy 350. The Ford guys do it all the time.
