The gas pedal on my car does not affect the kickdown switch sitting just under the dashboard.

The cause is probably a new carb installed by the previous owner and the gas travel is a little bit shorter than before.

Can this switch be adjusted?
There are not much space, perhaps due to my body size, and not very much light either, so I need to be adviced.
