Default Transmission kickdown switch

Hi Guys
I need some help here. Can someone out there tell me where I can find the transmission kickdown switch for my buddies 68 Camaro 396 with an auto trans? I believe it mounts on the side of the carb. Any help on this matter would ne much appreciated.
Thanks Al

Are you sure you don't want a TV (throttle valve) cable and linkage?

I am not sure what I need as it is not there. My research show it to be a kick down switch that bolts on to the side of the carb. There is two wires near this location that go to the trans.

Pete, his buddy would have a TH400. It downshifted electrically using a switch, not a cable.
Yes, there is supposed to be a plunger type detent switch mounted to the side of the carburetor. Can't remember which side, but I think on the passenger side. I'll see if I can find anything in my archives.
But if a carb mounted switch can't be found, you could put on the gas pedal type which was used in different model cars. Check here: http://www.400raptor.com/ and scroll down towards the bottom 7/8 of the page. Check out part #79 or 79X. Is this supposed to be a "correct" car, or is keeping the original location of the switch not important?
