Repair T-tops?

Repair T-tops?
Hey guys here is my problem, first off I have an 81 Z28 and on the inboard side of the t-tops the metal trim that holds it down ripped while i was on the highway. I almost lost the passenger t-top when it happened. Has anyone repaired these? and if so how do you do it?
