Just thought I'd ad that if you have a stout 383 and a T-10 or Muncie 4 speed with a strong clutch the stock bell housing is going to be a weak link and potentially even dangerous if you do a hard launch and the clutch comes apart.
A scatter shield is a good piece of insurance,I have broken a stock bell housing completely in half before.

 

it will be only a 383 with 360 HP, nothing excessive. As for hard launches, I doubt it will happen. I just drive and show car. just a weekender for fun.

 

Ordered the 383. Will put up pictures once in, hopefully around April 8th its done!
