I just put my 355 in 2 weeks ago, we are still hooking up all the stuff but I have questions about the wiring harness and the computer, What do I need to do with it? I dont want to replace it all if its possible. Let me know If I need a computer at all or if I can just take it out. Thanks for all the help guys. Hope to get responses.

Assuming You Went Carb ... Stand Alone Distributor ... And A 350TH Tranny ... Its Now Nothing More Than Extra Weight. If Your Still Using A 700R-4 Tranny, Your Not Gonna Have Lockup Which Unless Your Worried About Gas Mileage You Don't Need It. The Lockup Option Won't Work Right Without Being Hooked To The Other ECM Components Anyways. A 700R-4 Tranny Works Fine Otherwise Without The ECM. Also ... If You Do Want Lockup You Can Run A Hotwire To The A-Terminal Splice C And D Together And It Will Lockup In 3rd Gear Or So I'm Told. I Race Mine Without A Lockup. Sick

 

thanks, I have a HEI stand alone distributer, a Th350 tranny, a 355 block with out any sensors (no o2 or anything) and its carbed with a holley 750.

Thats It ... Fuel Mixture , Ignition, And Tranny. You Can Probably Sell Your Computer And Harness For A Few Bucks, What Engine Was It Hooked To? Sick

 

it was a 231 v6, not a nice engine, also, I just wired up the alternator, distributer, and starter to one wiring harnes line and everything else seems useless. We will see if it works, when I turn the key the car cranks. so good so far.
