Default Question: Exhaust fumes in passenger compartment

What should I check if I am trying to rid that damn smell from my car. It was parked for about five years so it has some of that kind of wear on it. I have replaced the exhaust and the fuel tank so it has gotten a little better. Any other suggestions?

if you are running mufflers that are close to the floorboard in the rear you might check under the rear seats and see if the isulation is getting hot i had to cut mine out.. i would actually start smoking after it got real warm.

If you're getting fumes inside the car, that means you have holes in the floor, trunk, or firewall where it's getting in. Look for rust holes in the floors, and open access holes in the firewall. Then plug em.

Thank you both very much. What do you recommend to plug the holes on the floor, if I have any?

With good metal. First look under the car and see what you can see. From looking at your pics, the car doesn't look like a rust bucket. At least, not in the back.
