Hi all, I have a 1974 Z28 that I just aqquired, it had a console that someone tossed in it. I’ve seen quite a few that don’t have consoles, my question is this; I have the brackets on my transmission tunnel for the console and am putting new carpet in it. My question is, did GM put brackets in ALL the Camaros for consoles? If so how do get around the brackets when installing the new carpet? I was thinking of grinding the brackets off and that would make a flat surface for the carpet to lay on…. Any thoughts and information is much apprecieated!
