That A/C compressor in the trunk answers some questions about that filler panel on the firewall and the heater core's location. Looks like someone removed the A/C and blanked it out. Wonder where the fan blower is located now?

Yeah, I think it might.
I'm pulling the hood and doors today. Going to start removing all the old shade-tree repairs and start fresh.

Only need to have the new exhaust welded in and then I can start striping her back down for body and paint.
drove her around the block today. very smooth.....

Nice start! What's with the spring on the rear axle? Camaros have a pretty thin frame back there, so I hope there's something on top for that spring to sit against, and not directly on the frame. It could wear through.

Thanks. Theres a spring on ether side of the axle to assist the leaf spring. I placed it at that point so that the bump-stop on the frame would hold the top in place. keeps it from sagging and it has a bit more rebound now.
