Default Question about a 350 transplaint

Growing up, I was always told that there are no dumb questions. I think I might have one so please bear with me. I'm still learning v8's, so I'm not sure what I'm looking at here. I'm hopefully going to pick up a 76 daily driver in one week, but I wanted to know more about whats currently under the hood. He said it was a 1995 350ci with edelbrock heads, intake and carb. Sounds good to me, but when I try to do some digging on my own, I only find injected 350s in gen3-4 camaro's or carbed 350s in Chevy trucks. I just need some help in the proper direction please.

it was probably a crate motor, bought new from an engine builder, and not pulled from any other car

I don't see any big mystery. Whoever put the engine in your car, removed the original FI and intake manifold, and installed a carb setup.
You can look up the block numbers here to determine what year and size your engine is (in case the seller was spoofing you): Camaro Decoding help on Chevy-Camaro.com

Ok, thank you all for your input. I wont be able to check its block numbers till I go to pick it up, but now I fill I have a better idea of what I'm looking for. I went into the army right after high-school. 3 deployments and some fragmentation scars later, I can finally start to build one of my dream cars.

The heads, intake and carb will be clearly marked. Edelbrock is very proud of thier products! That stuff isn't cheap, the motor looks really dirty. I'd keep it clean.

Those are Vortec valve covers.... so you are looking at the right idea there... but (someone check me on this please) the fuel line is on the wrong side for an Edelbrock carb?

Or a quadrajet or a holley. Edelbrock is on the back left. Maybe it loops around?

Pull that air cleaner off to find out what is under there... some things just don't look right to me on that photo... A better photo would be best.
