Default Question about a 1980 Z28

I was wondering what the best supercharger would be for a 1980 Z28 Camaro with a sb 350? Also, if anything else would be needed for me to put one in..Thanks

try weiand or littlefield, you will need big exhaust at least 3", headers, valvetrain upgrade, fuel system upgrade/misc parts ect.

Im pretty sure that you need an engine built for boost. So you will need low compression and strong internals. Bad Idea to try it on your stock engine.

Very true. Hypernumatic pistons, balanced pistons and rods, Aluminum H rods, 8-8.5:1 compression ratio. Larger cam, high flow fuel pump, better oil pump pick up, different valve springs.

small diameter carbs, upgraded fuel pump and regulator and extensive tuning.

There is a lady who runs a vortech style supercharger in a street driven 4th gen at our local track it is very impressive and fits under a stock hood you cant ever tell its there. I have seen people put them on stock engines which sometimes results in problems but i think it matters how much boost you run an 80 350 is already low compression. The engine is what stock ..180 hp I wouldnt be afraid to push another 100 or so hp out of it. If it blows it gives you a good excuse for a dart block .
