Default Oil pressure sending unit

I have 75 Camaro with a 350 in it, and I would like to install and oil pressure gauge but I’m having a hard time getting a wrench or socket on the sending unit. So does anyone have any tips on how to get it out, with out removing the distributor.

If I'm not wrong, there is a special 3/8 drive socket for the removal of the oil pressure sending unit. With it and a flexible offset you should reach down to the right or should I say to the left of the distributor and remove it. Be gentle till you feel it beak lose, and you should be OK ?

They put the damn unit in the worst place to remove it, The LS engines are just as bad.
