Default Pictures after my test run

These are photos after my cornering, and braking tests..

The KDW's are so sticky in this photo...

The hotter they got, the better they worked.

Same goes for the new Disc brakes... No fade

Changed the springs in the distributor, and the car revs quicker now...One more lighter spring to try to get it to rev as quickly as possible..

The advance is set as far as i can go, without pinging and other things..

But boy did it pull harder today...

More adjustments and tests soon...

A trick from MSD is to put one of the next lighter springs on. Do you know where you advance is coming in at? All too soon can hurt too. Most people try to get it all in by 3g. My dizzy is set up for 2800.

Thanks..Yes, it was lazier after the Ignition upgrade, and the spring made a difference. pulled faster to redline..

The shop owner set it, 34 total 15 initial..

We still plan to try one more lighter spring...Then I know that we are getting all out of the LT-1...We are close..

I told him that this is no 350....It is an LT-1, and it revs crazy fast when it is set right..

I was way advanced when i played with it...He did the right adjustments, and the problem was the springs and not the advance alone.. Now it pulls hard, no ping...We are close to getting whatever power is available..

I learned that the MSD billet distributors leave with a lazy set of springs to COver their rears...

So they have silver and blue springs that I can change to..lighter one's....This is great because i knew something was wrong...now it is quicker, and i have one more set to try. And then when it revs as quickly as before, i will be ready...

What bracket did you use? I just bought a type II set up from summit. I paid extra for the "correct align" bracket because most I see want you to use a 3 groove crank pulley. I may ship it back, it was way over priced. I think I can make one of the cheaper ones work just as good with some spacers.

So much done, i am not sure what steve did.

There is a new two groove pulley I think. SO many new parts. i would check, but it is back getting the rear shocks warranty changed...Figure, i have crappy kyb's for 30 years and no leak. I buy adjustable varishocks, and they leak..But they are fully adjustable and way cool..I plan to soften up the shocks a litlle for now, and then stiffen them for drag or track racing...Fun stuff..

Untill then , i can't answer you

Thanks...Although i have gone nutts on the braking and handling and steering of this car to test the outer limits of it's capability..

I have stayed true to the original old school Run what the factory gave you...

Cause this LT-1 is ready to show the new school kids, what the seventies were all about...

I will just brake and handle better...
